The Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs, to which was referred Bill C-293, An Act to amend the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (vexatious complainants), met this day at 10:31 a.m. to give clause- by-clause consideration to the bill.

The Chair: Honourable senators, good morning and welcome colleagues, invited guests and members of the general public, who are following today's proceedings of the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
We are meeting today for clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-293, An Act to amend the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (vexatious complainants).
This is our fifth meeting on Bill C-293. These committee hearings are open to the public and also available via webcast at parl.gc.ca. You can find more information on the schedule of witnesses on the website under "Senate Committees."
We have staff members from Correctional Service of Canada present today. Should senators have any questions, they are prepared to respond. Let us proceed.
