The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 2:33 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Buth, Callbeck, Chaput, Day, Gerstein, Greene, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., McInnis, Smith (Saurel) and Wells (11).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Ringuette (1).
In attendance: Sylvain Fleury, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 2, 2013, the committee continued its examination of the subject-matter of Bill C-60, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 21, 2013 and other measures, introduced in the House of Commons on April 29, 2013. At 3:24 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 3:29 p.m., the committee resumed.
Mr. Smillie, Mr. Flecker and Mr. Lavoie each made a statement and answered questions.
At 3:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
