The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 2 p.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Black, Braley, Buth, Callbeck, Chaput, Day, De Bané, P.C., Gerstein, Ringuette, Smith (Saurel) and Wells (12).
In attendance: Édison Roy-César and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 2, 2013, the committee continued its examination of the subject-matter of Bill C-60, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 21, 2013 and other measures, introduced in the House of Commons on April 29, 2013. Ms. Smyth and Ms. Umurungi each made a statement and answered questions.
At 3:05 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 3:09 p.m., the committee resumed.
Mr. Mintz and Mr. Rogers each made a statement and answered questions.
Mr. Swedlove made a statement and, together with Mr. Sanderson, answered questions.
At 4:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
