The Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages met this day at 5:04 p.m. in room 9 of the Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Maria Chaput, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Chaput, Fortin-Duplessis, Losier-Cool, Mockler, Poirier, Segal and Tardif (7).
In attendance: Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, the committee continued its study on the Official Languages Act and of the regulations and directives made under it. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 1.)

Victoria Vaseleniuck, Vice-President;
Glyn Lewis, Executive Director.
Ms. Pool made a presentation and, along with all the witnesses, answered questions.
