The Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages met this day in room 9, Victoria Building, at 5 p.m., the Deputy Chair, the Honourable Andrée Champagne, P.C., presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Champagne, P.C., De Bané, P.C., Fortin-Duplessis, McIntyre, Mockler, Poirier, Robichaud, P.C., and Tardif (8).
In attendance: Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, November 17, 2011, the committee continued its study on CBC/Radio-Canada's obligations under the Official Languages Act and some aspects of the Broadcasting Act. At 6:42 p.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee reconvened in camera to consider a draft agenda (future business).
At 7:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
