The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera this day at 6:10 p.m., in room 505, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cochrane, Hubley, Losier-Cool, MacDonald, Manning, Marshall, Patterson and Raine (8).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Baker, P.C. (1).
In attendance: Claude Emery, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; and Ceri Au, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Sunday, June 26, 2011, the committee continued to examine issues relating to the federal government's current and evolving policy framework for managing Canada's fisheries and oceans. Pursuant to rule 92(2)(e), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).
At 7:49 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
