The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs of the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence met in camera this day, at 12:10 p.m., in room 257, East Block, the chair, the Honourable Roméo Antonius Dallaire, presiding.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Dallaire, Day, Nolin and Plett (4).
In attendance: Martin Auger, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, and delegated on Monday October 3, 2011 by the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence, the subcommittee continued its study on the services and benefits provided to members of the Canadian Forces; to veterans; to members and former members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families. Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee met in camera to consider a draft report.
It was agreed that senators' staff be permitted to remain in the room.
At 12:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
