The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 3:32 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable A. Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Ataullahjan, Downe, Fortin-Duplessis, Oh, Plett, Robichaud, P.C. and Verner, P.C. (8).

In attendance: Mark Palmer, Acting Procedural Clerk; Pascal Tremblay and James Lee, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 30, 2014, the committee continued its examination of Bill C-41, An Act to implement the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the Republic of Korea. (For the complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 18.)

APPEARING:

At 4:41 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 4:43 p.m., the committee resumed in camera, pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), to consider a draft report.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 30, 2014, the committee continued its examination of the subject matter of those elements contained in Division 15 of Part 4 of Bill C-43, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 11, 2014 and other measures. (For the complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 18.)

It was agreed that senators' staff be allowed to stay in the room.

It was agreed that the draft report be adopted.

At 4:48 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
