The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 8 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Claudette Tardif, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dagenais, Enverga, Fortin-Duplessis, Maltais, Moore, Ogilvie, Oh, Tardif and Unger (9).

In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly and Jed Chong, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, April 2, 2015, the committee began its consideration of Health Canada's User Fee Proposal, dated March 19, 2015, respecting pesticide cost recovery.

WITNESSES:

Health Canada:

Richard Aucoin, Executive Director, Pest Management Regulatory Agency;

Jason Flint, A/Director General, Policy and Regulatory Affairs Division, Pest Management Regulatory Agency.

Mr. Aucoin and Mr. Flint made statements and answered questions.

At 9:21 a.m., the committee suspended.

At 9:25 a.m., the committee, pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), resumed in camera to consider a draft report.

It was agreed that the draft report on Health Canada's User Fee Proposal, dated March 19, 2015, respecting pesticide cost recovery be adopted

At 9:27 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the deputy chair.
