The Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples met this day at 6:49 p.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Lillian Dyck, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Beyak, Dyck, Enverga, Moore, Ngo, Raine, Sibbeston and Tannas (8).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Watt (1).

In attendance: Julie Cool, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, the committee continued its study on challenges relating to First Nations infrastructure on reserves. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 4.)

WITNESSES:

Bonnie Lysyk, Auditor General.

PPP Canada:

Stefan Dery, Director, Investments;

Naresh Debidin, Director, Project Development - Federal.

The chair made a statement.

Ms. Lysyk made a statement and answered questions.

At 7:33 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 7:40 p.m., the committee resumed.

Mr. Debidin made a statement and, together with Mr. Dery, answered questions.

At 8:23 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
