The Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples met in camera this day at 6:49 p.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Lillian Eva Dyck, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Beyak, Dyck, Enverga, Moore, Ngo, Raine and Tannas (7).
In attendance: Julie Cool and Brittany Collier, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, the committee continued its consideration of the challenges and potential solutions relating to First Nations infrastructure on reserves. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 4.)
Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft report.
It was agreed that senators' staff be permitted to stay in the room during in camera portions of the meeting.
It was agreed that the committee allow transcription of today's in camera meeting, that one copy be kept in the office of the clerk of the committee for consultation by committee members and the committee analysts, and that the transcript be destroyed by the clerk when authorized to do so by the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, but no later than at the end of this parliamentary session.
At 8:47 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
