OBSERVATIONS
to the Twentieth Report of the
Standing Senate Committee on Legal
and Constitutional Affairs (Bill C-483)

The committee recommends that the government also consider transferring the authority for granting escorted temporary absences for those designated as dangerous offenders to the Parole Board of Canada, in the same manner as is being proposed in Bill C-483 for those sentenced to life imprisonment as a minimum punishment.
