The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Chaput, Day, Eaton, Gerstein, Mockler, Rivard, Smith (Saurel) and Wallace (9).
In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Raphaëlle Deraspe, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 19, 2015, the committee continued its examination of the Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 27.)
The chair made a statement.
The committee, pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), proceeded in camera to consider a draft report.
It was agreed that the senators' staff be allowed to stay in the room.
It was agreed that the draft report on Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015 be adopted, as amended, and that the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure be authorized to make minor editorial revisions; and
That the report be tabled in the Senate, at the earliest opportunity.
At 7:02 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 7:04 p.m., the committee resumed in public.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 26, 2015, the committee continued its examination of the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016.

Mr. Naish made a statement and, together with Mr. MacArthur, answered questions.
Mr. Duplantie made a statement and, together with Mr. Wiseman, answered questions.
At 7:48 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 7:50 p.m., the committee resumed.

Mr. Huppé made a statement and, together with Mr. Stewart and Mr. Montroy, answered questions.
