The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Black, Chaput, Day, Maltais, Massicotte, Mockler, Rivard, Smith (Saurel) and Wallace (10).
In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Raphaëlle Deraspe, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 12, 2015, the committee continued its consideration of Bill C-21, An Act to control the administrative burden that regulations impose on businesses.

Canadian Federation of Independent Business:
Laura Jones, Executive Vice President (by video conference).
Public Service Alliance of Canada:
Chris Aylward, National Executive Vice-President;
Howie West, Work Reorganization Officer.
Ms. Coombs made a statement and answered questions.
Mr. Aylward made a statement and, together with Mr. West, answered questions.
Ms. Jones made a statement and answered questions.
At 7:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
