The Committee of Selection met this day at 12:01 p.m., in room 172-E, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Senator Marshall, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Comeau, P.C., Frum, Greene, Marshall, Martin, Robichaud, P.C., and Tardif (7).
The committee proceeded to the nomination of a Speaker pro tempore.
The Honourable Senator Comeau, P.C., moved that the Honourable Senator Nolin be nominated to preside as Speaker pro tempore.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
The Honourable Senator Robichaud, P.C., moved that that the chair report to the Senate the nomination agreed to at this day’s meeting.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
At 12:03 p.m. the committee adjourned.
