The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 10:03 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Dennis Dawson, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dawson, Greene, Housakos, MacDonald, Plett, Unger and Verner, P.C. (7).

In attendance: Terrence (Terry) Thomas and Dillian Theckedath, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, December 9, 2013, the committee continued its study on the challenges faced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in relation to the changing environment of broadcasting and communications.
