The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met in camera this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 257, East Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Donald Neil Plett, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Demers, Eggleton, P.C., Greene, Housakos, MacDonald, Plett, Unger and Verner, P.C. (8).
In attendance: Terrence (Terry) Thomas and Dillian Theckedath, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, December 9, 2013, the committee continued its study on the challenges faced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in relation to the changing environment of broadcasting and communications. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)
Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft report.
At 10:59 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
