The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 4:15 p.m., in room 160- S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Ataullahjan, Beyak, Cordy, Dawson, Downe, Housakos, Johnson, Ngo, Raine, Rivard and Smith (Cobourg), P.C. (12).

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, the committee commenced its examination of foreign relations and international trade generally. (Topic: Argentina: Political, Economic and International Prospects)

At 5:40 p.m., the committee resumed and Mr. Sergio Berensztein continued his statement and answered questions.

At 6:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
