The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 4 :17 p.m., in room 160- S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Ataullahjan, Cordy, Dawson, Downe, Housakos, Johnson, Ngo, Oh, Poirier, Rivard and Smith (Cobourg), P.C. (12).
In attendance: Natalie Mychajlyszyn and Pascal Tremblay, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, the committee continued its study on foreign relations and international trade generally. The chair called the meeting to order.
Ms. Citeau made a statement, and together with Mr. Rice, answered questions.
At 5:00 p.m., the meeting suspended.
At 5:15 p.m., the meeting resumed.
Mr. Stanford made a statement and answered questions.
At 6:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
