The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 4:17 p.m., in room 160- S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable A. Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Ataullahjan, Boehm, Bovey, Coyle, Dean, Greene, MacDonald, Massicotte, Ngo and Saint-Germain (11).

In attendance: Pascal Tremblay and Constance Naud-Arcand, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, the committee continued its consideration on Bill C-47, An Act to amend the Export and Import Permits Act and the Criminal Code (amendments permitting the accession to the Arms Trade Treaty and other amendments). (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 54.)

At 5:18 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 5:23 p.m., the committee resumed.
