The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 4:16 p.m., in room C128, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable A. Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Boehm, Bovey, Busson, Cormier, Coyle, Dean, Greene, Housakos and Ngo (10).
In attendance: Pascal Tremblay, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, April 4, 2019, the committee began its consideration of Bill C-85, An Act to amend the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act and to make related amendments to other Acts.

Mary-Catherine Speirs, Director, Trade Policy and Negotiations (Europe, Middle East and Africa);

The chair made a statement.
Ms. Speirs made a statement and, together with Mr. Lulashnyk and Mr. Healy, answered questions.
