to the Seventh Report of the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs (Bill S-217)

As a result of the evidence heard during its study on Bill S-217, the committee recommends that Public Safety Canada complete a review of the Canadian Police Information Centre's (CPIC) information-sharing system in order to assess current timelines and backlogs in entering new criminal records and updating existing ones.
