Extract from the Journals of the Senate, Wednesday, June 6, 2018:

The order was called for resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Ringuette, seconded by the Honourable Senator Cools, for the second reading of Bill C-58, An Act to amend the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Ringuette moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Bovey, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
