The Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament met in camera this day at 9:36 a.m., in room 257, East Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Serge Joyal, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Batters, Dalphond, Frum, Gold, Greene, Joyal, P.C., Maltais, McCoy, Seidman, Sinclair, Wells and Woo (12).

In attendance: David Groves and Laurence Brosseau, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, the committee continued its study to develop and propose amendments to the Rules of the Senate to establish the Standing Committee on Audit and Oversight.

The committee considered a draft report.

It was agreed, on division, that the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed that the chair present the report to the Senate.

At 10:51 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
