The Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence met this day at 11:02 a.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Gwen Boniface, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boisvenu, Boniface, Dagenais, Griffin, Jaffer, Kutcher, McIntyre, McPhedran, Oh, Plett, Pratte and Richards (12).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Dean, Gold and Miville-Dechêne (3).

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the committee continued its consideration of Bill C-71, An Act to amend certain Acts and Regulations in relation to firearms. It was moved by Senator Boniface that the committee proceed in camera.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
At 6:15 p.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee resumed in camera to consider a draft agenda.
