The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9:30 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Dennis Dawson, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Boisvenu, Dawson, Doyle, Eggleton, P.C., Greene, Mercer, Runciman and Unger (9).

In attendance: Allison Padova and Jed Chong, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, January 28, 2016, the committee continued its study of emerging issues related to its mandate and ministerial mandate letters. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 1.)
