The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Michael L. MacDonald, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Doyle, Eggleton, P.C., Greene, MacDonald, Runciman and Unger (7).
In attendance: Jed Chong and Nicole Sweeney, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; and Victor Senna, Procedural Clerk, Senate Committees Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, the committee continued its study on the development of a strategy to facilitate the transport of crude oil to eastern Canadian refineries and to ports on the East and West coasts of Canada.
