The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met in camera this day at 9:32 a.m., in room 257, East Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Michael L. MacDonald, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Boisvenu, Doyle, Eggleton, P.C., Greene, MacDonald, Mercer and Runciman (8).
In attendance: Jed Chong and Nicole Sweeney, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Victor Senna, Procedural Clerk, Senate Committees Directorate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, the committee continued its study on the development of a strategy to facilitate the transport of crude oil to eastern Canadian refineries and to ports on the East and West coasts of Canada. Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft report.
At 11:12 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
