The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9:30 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable David Tkachuk, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boisvenu, Cormier, Dasko, Dawson, Gagné, Galvez, MacDonald, Manning, Miville-Dechêne, Simons and Tkachuk (11).
In attendance: Zackery Shaver, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Ben Silverman, Communications Officer, Senate Communications Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 18, 2018, the committee continued its examination of Bill C-64, An Act respecting wrecks, abandoned, dilapidated or hazardous vessels and salvage operations. At 10:32 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 10:38 a.m., the committee resumed.
Ms. Bertrand made a statement and, together with Mr. Bernier, answered questions.
At 11:19 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
