The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 1:15 p.m., in the Regency Ballroom, The Hotel Saskatchewan, the chair, the Honourable David Tkachuk, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Busson, Gagné, MacDonald, Miville-Dechêne, Neufeld, Smith and Tkachuk (7).
In attendance: Jed Chong, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Ben Silverman, Communications Officer, Senate Communications Directorate; Kalina Waltos, Legislative Clerk, Senate Committees Directorate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the committee continued its examination of Bill C-48, An Act respecting the regulation of vessels that transport crude oil or persistent oil to or from ports or marine installations located along British Columbia's north coast.
