The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs met this day at 12:01 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Boniface, McIntyre and Richards (3).
In attendance: Isabelle Lafontaine-Émond, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
The clerk informed the committee of the unavoidable absences of the chair and deputy chair and presided over the election of an acting chair.
The Honourable Senator McIntyre moved:
That the Honourable Senator Boniface be the acting chair.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
The acting chair took the chair.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, February 1, 2016, the subcommittee continued its study on the services and benefits provided to members of the Canadian Forces; to veterans; to members and former members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families.
