The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met in camera this day at 6:29 p.m., in room B45, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Robert Black, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Cotter, Duncan, Klyne, Mockler, Petitclerc and Simons (7).
Pursuant to the orders of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 and Thursday, November 3, 2022, the committee continued its consideration of Bill S-236, An Act to amend the Employment Insurance Act and the Employment Insurance Regulations (Prince Edward Island).
It was agreed that the committee allow the recording of the in camera meeting today, that one copy be kept with the clerk of the committee for consultation by committee members or staff present; and that the recording be destroyed by the clerk when authorized to do so by the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, but no later than at the end of this parliamentary session.
It was agreed that a letter, from the Chair and Deputy Chair of the committee, be sent to the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion, requesting a copy of the 2021 report prepared by Employment and Social Development Canada concerning the review of existing boundaries for Employment Insurance economic regions.
At 7:16 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
