The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 6:30 p.m., in room B45, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Robert Black, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Cotter, Dalphond, Klyne, MacAdam, Oh, Osler, Pate, Simons and Woo (10).

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the committee continued its consideration of Bill C-234, An Act to amend the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act.

At 7:29 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 7:31 p.m., the committee resumed.
Alex Cool-Fergus, Kathryn Harrison and Dave Carey each made a statement and answered questions.
At 8:23 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 8:24 p.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee resumed in camera to discuss a draft agenda (future business).
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 10, 2022, the committee continued its study on issues relating to agriculture and forestry generally.
At 8:25 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
