The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 9:59 a.m., in room B45, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Robert Black, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Burey, Marshall, McBean, McNair, Oudar, Pate, Petitclerc, Plett, Richards and Simons (11).

Other senators present: The Honourable Senator Robinson (1).

Participating in the meeting: Joanne Markle LaMontagne, Analyst, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 9, 2024, the committee continued its consideration of Bill C-275, An Act to amend the Health of Animals Act (biosecurity on farms).

John Barlow made a statement and answered questions.
