The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the deputy chair, the Honourable Éric Forest, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bovey, Dagenais, Forest, Gignac, Loffreda, Marshall, Pate, Smith and Yussuff (9).

Participating in the meeting: Shaowei Pu and Sylvain Fleury, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, the committee continued its examination of matters relating to federal estimates generally and other financial matters.

WITNESSES:

Karen Hogan, Auditor General of Canada;

Andrew Hayes, Deputy Auditor General;

Susan Gomez, Principal;

Mélanie Cabana, Principal.

Karen Hogan made a statement and, together with Andrew Hayes and Mélanie Cabana, answered questions.

At 8:26 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
