The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration has the honour to table its

SIXTEENTH REPORT

On May 10, 2012, your Committee adopted the Report of the Special Subcommittee on Diversity.

The Special Subcommittee was mandated to undertake a review of the Employment Equity Report 2006-2009, examine the related draft policy and consider recruitment and retention strategies that will enable the Senate to reflect Canada's diversity in its workforce and workplace.

Your Committee supports increasing diversity initiatives which will best represent the Senate and which reach out to those who aspire to work for the Senate. Your Committee is pleased to table the attached report in the Senate.
