The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 8 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Terry Mercer, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Beyak, Dagenais, Mercer, Merchant, Ogilvie, Oh and Pratte (7).
In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament and Maxime Fortin, Committee Clerk, Committees Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference deemed referred by the Senate on Thursday, June 23, 2016, the committee continued its study of the Government response to the Ninth Report of the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry, entitled: The Importance of Bee Health to Sustainable Food Production in Canada, tabled and adopted in the Senate on May 27, 2015.

Dr. Stephen F. Pernal, Ph.D., Research Scientist and Officer-in-Charge, Beaverlodge Research Farm, Science and Technology Branch.
Canadian Food Inspection Agency:
Dr. Jaspinder Komal, Executive Director and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer, Animal Health Directorate.
Health Canada:
Scott Kirby, Director, Environmental Assessment Directorate, Pest Management Regulatory Agency.
