The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 8:01 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Ghislain Maltais, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bernard, Dagenais, Doyle, Gagné, Maltais, Ogilvie, Oh, Petitclerc, Pratte and Tardif (10).
In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Geneviève Guindon, Communications Officer, Senate Communications Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 9, 2017, the committee continued its study on the potential impact of the effects of climate change on the agriculture, agri-food and forestry sectors. The chair made a statement.
Mr. Buy made a statement and, together with Ms. Baldwin, answered questions.
At 8:58 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 9:05 a.m., the committee resumed.
Mr. Larocque made a statement and, together with Ms. Lindsay, answered questions.
At 9:52 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
