The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 6:07 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Diane F. Griffin, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black (Ontario), Doyle, Eaton, Gagné, Griffin, Maltais and Oh (7).
In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly and Alison Clegg, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 1, 2018, the committee began its study on issues relating to agriculture and forestry generally. (Topic: The composting of cannabis residues and potential impacts on the environment)

Susan Antler, Executive Director.
Micron Waste Technologies Inc.:
Alfred Wong, President;
Cam Battley, Member of the Board.
GFL Environmental Inc.:
Brian King, Director of Compost Operations.
The chair made a statement.
Ms. Antler and Mr. Wong made statements and, together with Mr. King and Mr. Battley, answered questions.
At 6:41 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
