Today, before we start with our witness on the value-added study, I would like to take care of committee business. We have a vacancy in the deputy chairmanship of the committee.

Senator R. Black: If it’s okay, I would be pleased to nominate Senator Plett for deputy chair of this committee.

The Chair: We have a nomination.

Are there any other nominations? Going once, twice, three times.

I think you have it by acclamation, Senator Plett. Welcome aboard. You will be working with Senator Mercer and myself on the steering committee.

Senator Plett: I’m looking forward to it.

The Chair: That’s good. We are too.

Are we ready for the witness or should we go in camera?

Okay, we’re going in camera.

(The committee continued in camera.)

(The committee resumed in public.)

The Chair: I declare the meeting adjourned.

(The committee adjourned.)
