The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 2:30 p.m., in room 356-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Chaput, Day, Gerstein, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., Mockler, Rivard and Smith (Saurel) (8).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Alex Smith, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, the committee continued its study on the Supplementary Estimates (B) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016.

WITNESSES:

Parliamentary Protective Service:

Chief Superintendent Michael Duheme, Director;

Sloane Mask, Deputy Chief Financial Officer;

Jean Forgues, Administrative & Personnel Officer.

The chair made a statement.

Chief Superintendent Duheme made a statement and, together with Ms. Sloane and Mr. Forgues, answered questions.

At 3:22 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
