The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:46 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Larry W. Smith, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Campbell, Eaton, Enverga, Marshall, Mitchell and Smith (Saurel) (7).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Alex Smith, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the committee began its examination of Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016.

WITNESSES:

Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat:

Brian Pagan, Assistant Secretary, Expenditure Management Sector;

Marcia Santiago, Executive Director, Expenditure Management Sector.

The chair made a statement.

Mr. Pagan made a statement and, together with Ms. Santiago, answered questions.

At 8:33 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
