The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:33 p.m. in room 257, East Block, the chair, the Honourable Larry Smith, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Campbell, Marshall, Mitchell, Mockler, Ogilvie and Smith (Saurel) (7).

Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Oh and Pratte (2).

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the committee continued its examination of the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 4.)

Renée LaFontaine, Assistant Secretary and Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Services.

Minister Brison made a statement and, together with Ms. Baltacioglu, Mr. Pagan and Ms. LaFontaine, answered questions.

At 8:14 p.m., it was agreed that the committee adjourn to the call of the chair.
