The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Larry Smith, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Ataullahjan, Manning, Marshall, Mockler and Smith (Saurel) (5).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Pratte (1).

In attendance: Alex Smith and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the committee continued its study on the federal government's multi-billion dollar infrastructure funding program. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 7.)

Glen Hodgson, Senior Vice-President and Chief Economist.

Federation of Canadian Municipalities:

Clark Somerville, First Vice President;

Brock Carlton, Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Hodgson, Mr. Somerville and Mr. Carlton made statements and answered questions.

At 8:41 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
