The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 9:31 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Larry Smith, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The honourable senators Eaton, Marshall, Mockler, Neufeld and Smith (5).

Other senators present: The honourable senators Mitchell and Pratte (2).

In attendance: Alex Smith and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, the committee continued its study of the subject matter of all of Bill C-15, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2016 and other measures.

Pierre Leblanc, Senior Chief, Quantitative Analysis, Personal Income Tax Division, Tax Policy Branch.

Mr. McGowan made a statement and, together with Mr. Leblanc, Mr. Greene and Mr. Demeter, answered questions.

At 11:32 a.m., it was agreed that the committee adjourn to the call of the chair.
