The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:47 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Cools, Eaton, Marshall, Mockler, Neufeld and Pratte (7).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Olivier Leblanc-Laurendeau, analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, the committee continued its study of the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018. (For the complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 27.)

Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada:

Carolyn Rogers, Assistant Superintendent, Regulation Sector;

Judy Cameron, Senior Director, Legislation, Approvals and Strategic Policy;

Michele Bridges, Managing Director, Finance and Corporate Planning.

Mr. Ram made a statement and, with Mr. King and Ms. Leach, answered questions.

At 7:35 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 7:39 p.m., the committee resumed.

Ms. Rogers made a statement and, with Ms. Cameron, answered questions.

At 8:18 p.m., the meeting adjourned to the call of the chair.
