The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day, at 1:47 p.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Anne C. Cools, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Cools, Eaton, Forest, Marshall, Moncion, Oh, Pratte and Woo (9).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Olivier Leblanc-Laurendeau, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 18, 2017, the committee began its review of the Supplementary Estimates (A) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018.

At 2:48 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 2:56 p.m., the committee resumed.

Mr. Thoppil and Mr. Zielonka each made a statement and, with Mr. MacArthur and Mr. Gagnon, answered questions.

At 3:36 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
