The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:48 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Cools, Eaton, Forest, Maltais, Marshall, Mockler and Pratte (8).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Marwah (1).

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, the committee continued its study of Bill C-63, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2017 and other measures. At 6:54 p.m., Mr. Robinson, Mr. Vaillancourt and Ms. Hemmings each made a statement and, together with Mr. Graham, answered questions.

At 7:15 p.m., Ms. McKenzie Presley made a statement and, together with Mr. Ndihokubwayo, answered questions.

At 7:41 p.m., Ms. Dekker made a statement and answered questions.

At 8 p.m., Mr. Valeria and Mr. Sprecher each made a statement and answered questions.

At 8:18 p.m., Mr. Giles and Ms. Hill each made a statement and, together with Mr. Gagnon, Mr. Sadek and Mr. Fertuck, answered questions.

The chair made a statement.

It was agreed that the committee hold an additional meeting tomorrow morning, December 7, 2017, at 10:15 a.m., to complete this study.

At 8:57 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
