The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Deacon (Nova Scotia), Deacon (Ontario), Eaton, Forest, Frum, Marshall, Mockler, Moncion, Pratte and Tannas (11).

In attendance: Alex Smith and Shaowei Pu, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted in the Senate on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, the committee continued its study on Bill C-62, An Act to amend the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations Act and other Acts.

WITNESSES:

Canada Border Services Agency:

Marc Thibodeau, Director General, Labour Relations and Compensation.

Correctional Service Canada:

Nick Fabiano, Acting Assistant Commissioner, Human Resources Management.

Mr. Thibodeau and Mr. Fabiano each made a statement and answered questions.

At 7:43 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
