The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 9:30 a.m., in room B45, the Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boehm, Deacon (Ontario), Forest, Forest-Niesing, Klyne, Marshall, Mockler, Moncion, Neufeld and Pratte (10).

In attendance: Alex Smith and Shaowei Pu, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 4, 2018, the committee continued its study on the processes and financial aspects of the Government of Canada's system of defence procurement. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 78.)

The chair made a statement.

Ms. Charron made a presentation and, with Mr. Liedtke, answered questions.

At 10:36 a.m., the committee suspended.

At 10:40 a.m., the committee resumed.

Mr. Murray and Mr. Dagenais each made a statement and, together with Mr. Waring and Mr. Lagassé, answered questions.

At 11:33 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
